All good things…

…must come to an end. Well, maybe not an “end” but definitely to a point of change. And change is good, we say!

Effective today, 11/26/11, Robb and I have made the decision to move all wedding work to Locust Street Studios. We’ll only photograph High School Seniors under the Lucky Clover brand, and all weddings and portrait work will be completed under our Locust Street Studios brand. I’m sure some are wondering “Why?” and it’s actually pretty easy: It has become a little confusing to the general public why we have the two brands, so we decided to rework the pricing for Locust Street to encompass some of the “budget friendly” options that Lucky Clover was offering, and fold it all into one.

We’re also really excited to keep Senior Portraits under Lucky Clover! We started with Lucky Clover, and it is very near and dear to our hearts. We loved building Lucky Clover into a successful photography studio, and we love working with seniors, so we are happy to use it to more clearly define and showcase our senior portrait work.

So….don’t freak out. We’re still doing weddings! Like a said, not really an “end” but more of a beginning of something great over at Locust Street! Check us out at www.locuststreetstudios.com to get your wedding fix, and keep Lucky Clover bookmarked for all those young people in your lives that are deserving of something a little different their senior year!

To say we were looking forward to this wedding is an understatement. Walking away from my first meeting with Annette, I knew she pretty much a rockstar. Yeah, we’ll go with that. She’s outgoing, and fun, and beautiful. Bobby should be a model, just sayin’. The images we created from their wedding are some of my favorites. They have a gorgeous connection between them, they are definitely NOT camera shy, and they were a complete dream to work with. Not to mention the gorgeous flowers, courtesy Bobby’s very talented sister, Katie Elfers. And of course, the dress, the shoes, the always fantastic Madison South. And the vows. Those ones they wrote themselves that talked about the journey to each other and to their wedding day. That’s what got me a little choked up. We say we find life in the journey, but sometimes, like Bobby & Annette, we find love too. And what is better than that??

Joe & Michelle. What can I say? They were one of the most excited couples on their wedding day. And what wasn’t there to be excited about? Even though it was sweltering outside, they had a gorgeous church that we were able to enjoy the A/C in, and still get great photos. The DIY flowers Michelle created at The Flowerman were colorful, unique thanks to the Chicks and Hens they added, and smelled divine thanks to gardenia. The guys were hilarious. Sometimes we do a 1-2-3 Do Anything kind of shot, and the guys all decided to do “guns”. You’ll see what I mean. It was infectious, because even the girls got in on the gun action later at the reception. Oh, and the reception? Turns out Michelle’s very Irish family enjoys and excels at Irish Dancing. And by excel, I mean, the four cousins she had dance at the reception had recently returned from international competitions in Dublin, Ireland. Michelle even treated us to a dance. It was all very impressive! Oh, did I mention how happy they were? You’ll see it all over their faces when you look at the photos of their first look. This was another wedding that keeps us photographing weddings. For that, Joe & Michelle, we are indebted to you. Here’s to many, many years of giddy smiles and happy hearts.

Remember that little comment I wrote about Shelby having a funky sense of style? Well, it was kind of a teaser for this post. Because she had a totally rockin’ dress. And the guys wore Chucks. Robb must’ve been in heaven shooting this wedding! He loves all things Vans and Chucks. I think if he could get away with wearing his Green Lantern Chucks every day, he absolutely would! But enough about Robb… check out his fun, funky shots of Bobby & Shelby’s wedding! (And feel free to envy the dress. I did.)

Robb has been a busy man! Here’s Richard & Michelle’s engagement session that he did a few months ago. Who thinks Michelle looks a bit like Anne Hathaway??
